Summer Wrap up
My thanks to everyone for their efforts and company, with two major wins I think we have proved three things:
1 Sailing should be fun, no shouting or grumpy sailors
2 Nothing wrong with a few drinks on the way round the bouys
3 With the above an old boat can beat youthful enthusiasm
Looking forward to the Audi winter series as I think if we can get a good core crew of 6 with a few extras we could do well, please look at your Calendars and let me know.
Twilights
Six races, two seconds two fourths, a short course mistake and a dnf in the dark. We have sailed the best in two years in Twilights and in division B. The big difference this year is beating other boats home and getting into the pond early for a QLD, although I still seem to get home the same time.
I will in future check the sailing instructions to ensure we sail the right course, overall it was nice to have new and old crew and a few laughs, I think that is what the Twilights is all about.
Monica Geddes
Trophy Hunters !! The wind was with us all day, whilst Occasional Coarse Language went of like a scalded cat we sailed with very few mistakes. Holding off Scarlet O'Hara until the beat home gave us a three minute win on handicap.
171st Australia Day Regatta
What a win, first major Trophy, I pick it up at the Sydney Townhall on the 7th March, this is the first time the trophy has been presented in 138 years so SineWave will be the second boat named on the cup. Holding the kite on that last leg gave us the win, combined with some excellent gybes it was a pleasure racing
